Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie}, abstract={This article outlines the state of public debate on abortion and family planning, issues which were connected with the perception of large families with many children, as a background to the coverage of all these themes by Przyjaciółka, a mass circulation women’s weekly in the period 1956–1975. The magazine was certainly committed to the goal of raising women’s self-awareness.
