 abstract={The article presents findings from a qualitative study of multilingualism from a translingual perspective, based on a corpus of task-oriented group work collected from two datasets at national and international institutions of Higher Education. Going beyond the mere number and proficiency level of known languages the multimodal interaction analysis of the data highlights multilingual competencies such as language negotiation, co-constructions, and the opening of translingual spaces.},
