 abstract={This article aims, on the one hand, to provide a general overview of vocatives from a sociopragmatic approach, and, on the other hand, to reflect on their use by the Magütá indigenous community of the Colombian Amazon Tri-border Area. Several works that have analyzed vocatives from different linguistic perspectives and in different languages have been reviewed. In addition, the Magüta cosmovision and the relevant vocative forms in the social interaction of their communities are described.},
